Grow a Crepe Myrtle Trees

The Crepe Myrtle is a very fast growing, ornamental, flowering tree that is very well known to the South. This tree only grows around 25" tall, making this a perfect addition to any landscape. The tree comes in a variety of colors and has a good drought tolerance once established. They are available in shades of white, purple, red, lavender, and pink.

Some people like to keep these cut back and grow them as bushes versus trees. Either way, when they bloom, everyone will take notice. They have a bark that peels, making the tree even more attractive once the brown or reddish tones underneath the bark start showing through.
